The Opportunity

As global demand for qualified caregivers surged—especially in the UK—E&A Travels saw an urgent need to not only facilitate migration but to equip candidates with international-standard training to ensure compliance, safety, and employability.

Many caregiver hopefuls lacked foundational Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) knowledge—an essential requirement for roles in the UK health and care system.

Our Intervention

E&A Travels designed and delivered a tailored HSE certification program in collaboration with certified safety professionals and international placement advisors. The approach included:

• Pre-departure intensive HSE training based on UK NHS and care sector standards

• Modules on infection control, patient safety, emergency protocols, and ethical caregiving

• Practical assessments and certification

• Integration of HSE training into the larger Work Abroad migration and job placement framework

Participants were also supported with:

• Interview coaching

• CV and documentation assistance

• Employer liaison and post-arrival settlement support

Outcomes

• 100% of trained participants secured caregiver roles in the UK within weeks of migration

• Zero compliance issues reported post-placement due to strong HSE foundation

• Improved confidence among participants in managing patient safety and worksite hazards

• Employers commended the preparedness and professionalism of the E&A-trained caregivers
