The NDDC sought to reposition its leadership team in response to rising demands for transparency, project efficiency, and transformational governance in the Niger Delta. Faced with evolving global standards in public sector leadership and governance, the Commission recognized the need for a world-class executive training program tailored to its unique development mandate.
Eudora and Aegle Group, through E&A Management Consulting, developed a hybrid executive training program that blended local context with international best practices. The intervention included:
A pre-training leadership audit to assess existing capacity gaps
A customized curriculum covering strategic leadership, ethical governance, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery
Two-part delivery model: on-site workshops in Lagos followed by a high-impact international immersion program in London
Experiential learning through case studies, roundtable discussions with UK public sector leaders, and site visits to global development institutions
Significant shift in leadership outlook and strategic thinking across the executive team
Improved collaboration among directorates and renewed focus on long-term development outcomes
Key participants reported increased confidence in stakeholder communication, ethical decision-making, and performance tracking
The program helped lay the foundation for internal reforms and greater inter-agency cooperation within the Commission
